Long lost photo Last viewed: 1 day ago

Here is a photo that I have not seen in many years, actually forgot about it. Well, my sister was over for a cookout and I played my Camco kit for her and my Dad along with some other relatives. I must of impressed her because today she text me this photo. This is me and her and my blue drums that my mom and I covered with contact paper. That was so long ago that I don't remember what brand of drums they were, that's because my dad gave those to me for Christmas one year and all the drums were different, red, blue, silver sparkle. It looks like one of the toms might have been a Rogers but the picture is pretty faded. Anyway, I had a nice fathers day considering this was the very first one without either of my daughters. I hope you guys had a real nice day as well!

Thank you!

Jeff your a drummer that's always been you to cool

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Hey Jeff. What a cool pic! Any idea what year that was? Happy belated Fathers Day. Had a good one here as well. Son couldn't make it and I couldn't make it to my Dad's, but both of our daughter and grandson were here.

Happy fathers day to all the VDF daddy's! Great photo, Jeff! They look like Ludwig drums with a Rogers tom! That's a Swivo mount for sure on that rack tom. I love the picture... I remember when I had all of my hair! What's left now is just a few citizens of what was once a noble society of hair! LOL

John

Too many great drums to list here!

Thanks everyone!

Mike, I would say the photo is from 1977. At least I cut open the reso heads instead of taking the hoops off and losing them eh!

I still have/play that cowbell!

Hopefully someone took the contact paper off of those at some point, even though mom and I did an awesome job of wrapping them. I remember mom had to cut the inlay strips, that was too precise for me, lol!

Glad you guys had a nice fathers day!

Thank you!

Super! Love these old photos...and you have the face of a really nice guy. :)

Here's how I read the kit, by lugs - 12"/Rogers or MIJ, 13"/Ludwig, FT/Ludwig, kick/MIJ

We got out to the folks house [the one I grew up in which is rare among my friends] for a wonderful Father's Day dinner.

Contact paper? Haha...it seems everyone was using that stuff back then. Nice photo.

Yesterday was my best father's day in 24 years... I'll get my daughter playing one of these days. I have a couple nice kits I would gladly give to her. (except my Camcos...)
