browsing the ebay and found this, someone's probably going to be pretty happy about finding such a cheap mod.

oh, and hi. Nice to have a reason to finally introduce myself, I've been lurking around for a while.

Kinda high priced for a kit that has most of the rest of the "mod" part of the mod orange that has faded completely away.....where's the blues. etc?

Over 2.5 yrs ago i got conned/ripped-off from/on Fee/ripp-off bay(Ebay USA).

By a supposed "genuine/honest/sincere" &legit ebay seller selling a 70's Ludwig mod orange double kick kit.The 'seller" was asking $1500 USD inc shipping to Australia! he scammed me out of $840 AUD! :(.I of course attempted&tried to stop the money from going thru(he asked me to send the money by/per/via Money Gramm)&also reported it to fee/ripp-off bay &the relevant authorities. As of writing i've not recieved my money back DONT LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU OR ANYONE ELSE PLEASE!.Hope both the kit&seller are 1 zillion% genuine/legit/honest&sincere? !

Ta mate! :)

Ado.

aussie, what did you get instead of a double kick mod? Sorry to hear about that.

I figure, if the drums are legit, 1200 for a mod kit that someone can take out and gig seems pretty decent. It's a lot, but I haven't seen another mod for less than 3500 or so...people pay big prices for those kits, beat to hell or not.

I've met this seller at some of the jams around. Nice guy but there are some issues with the finish. I can't remember exactly what they are but for some reason I think there is a clear coat on them. Contact him with questions.

30's Radio King - 26, 13, 13, 16
49 - WFL Ray McKinley - 26, 13, 16
58 - Slingerland Duco
58 - Slingerland Krupa Deluxe
70 - Ludwig Champagne Sparkle - 20, 12, 14
70 - Ludwig Champagne Sparkle - 22 (need), 13, 16
And some others..

I think this would be referring to the clear coat on the 12 & 13 toms

It looks like the 12/13 have a coat of clear sealant while I simply removed the paint and left as is.

I sold the only MO kit I have ever had to a guy in Germany around 18 years ago for $900 for the 22,12,13,16..........it was pretty nice too......no extra holes...........

I'll bet he is happy with that price now,if they are hitting $3,500!
