I'm pretty sure those are not made in USA-it's a pretty common 70's/80's set-up,also made by Pearl, Tama, Pro-Mark, etc. which are all derived from the Swivo-Matic of the 60's. Pedals are all personal preference once you get past basic quality issues like casting quality.bearings etc.

was just mainly curious about the arm with spring sticking upwards :confused: what is the purpose for this set up. does this work diffrently then the basic spring at side set? i don't remember ever seeing one like this before.

That pedal is pretty much a near copy of the Roger swiv-0-matic

I would also look into a speed king.Ludwig sold more speed kings than any other pedal ever made.Kind of like the Supraphonic of bass drum pedals.

The vintage Tama/Camco is another nice pedal,and not too expensive used.Light and fast.

thanks Steve, i did look into the speed king and thanks to one of the coolest guys on this site i got one on its way. was just curious about the one coz i don't think i've seen one like that and was curious about the design and the purpose for that design.
