Something seems a miss in my setup plus even with the legs out they feel a bit wobbly. Once again im sorry for these question rest assured they will be restored and have a good home. If that makes up for my drum noobness.

Move the tom toward you. The snare is tilted off the wrong way. Move the bass legs out a bit more to make it more stable. Look at some other kits to get an idea of how others are set up. Then adjust it to suit your size.

A ride cymbal mounted opposite of the tom might help with the balance issues. Also a kit feels more steady on some type of cushion, i.e.-carpet, throw rug, etc.

Very nice score, you've got quite the deal there. I'm assuming the person that you brought them from didn't know what they had. Not a bad thing, I'm all about good deals. Treat 'em right, they're beautiful.

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....

The tom should be 8" by 12" actually.........

DON'T clean the cymbals! Leave the 50 years of "soul" on them.

I have heard EARLY Pearl lugs will fit the same holes, but can't confirm that.

Wow! 14 by 14 FT.........that's worth some $$$.....The later, Beavertail ones hit around $1,000 most of the time.............

GREAT score!

You have the tom going to the right.......

put it so it is to the left..........

Maybe bring the snare out to the left a bit more too...........

that must be a nightmare to play.

doesn't seem like a very good design at all.

however..

i would like to hear what a "mounted" snare would sound like.
