I'm pretty sure this is the same drum that sold for a bunch of cash a while ago....
Ooooooo.........no Badge! .....but, "There are two rods sticking out from the top that will be included."

Price isn't bad, if he throws in part of the deck, some river rock, and the plant.

That's an original 18" bass drum in champagne sparkle that is 'all there' except for a strip of wrap for the hoop and two spurs. $1700. is about right for this drum. Rare-bird in a very desirable finish. With the missing three drums it would be a $4000. drum kit. The price is high, but right...
"Parting out the kit" he says???? The guy should be summarily hanged on the spot!

And missing badge?
Agree with being hanged however!

Gary, You are correct. It was fishy to begin with... now it really stinks.
I have the same drum, same wrap, better condition, no badge. So,
what's mine worth in a 20" size???? Help?? Thanks.
A nice late 50's - early 60's Gretsch kit 20/12/14 matching snare in Gold Sparkle may be worth $3K (appraised value)....maybe more at auction - and more if all the shells are 3ply (the floor tom in 3ply is rare). The same kit in 18/12/14 with matching finish snare in Burgundy Sparkle can fetch 14K or more.
I used the Gold Sparkle example because I have one that was appraised.
Champagne Sparkle is a sought after finish. A shellpack with an 18" bass drum is worth a lot of cash these days. Still.....a shellpack with 20/12/14 with matching finish is probably worth more that at least a Gold Sparkle finish kit....to most people.
Like I always say....I'm no expert...by a long shot. I'm just passing along information from personal experience and what I've read and seen over the last few years.
Yup, it's the exact same drum from the now infamous Ebay auction (using the very same pictures, no less). I agree with Royal Ace - something "really stinks" here!

Sought after by who ? The next guy that wants to flip it with ebay listing as a pitch. It`s not gonna fill the club majically with business and it certainly isn`t gonna all the sudden get you on the top ten list.
Someone`s gonna get it, find a badge find some spurs and probably rip a luddy BD in champaine and finnish the hoop, say it`s all original and asy 8K.
It`s not for a collector who is gonna display it or hoard it because it returns to ebay.
It`s a scam for suckers !i
How do I know,..."it`s missing the legs and the two rods are included" !i
