Is this snare a Super Classic? - Page 1

I just got this snare and started cleaning it up and conducting a little research to see exactly what Ludwig model it is. The serial number dates it to ’66, it has a WFL Classic throw off, is 14” x 5 ½” and is 8 lug. After looking at some of the Ludwig catalogs posted in the vintage drum guide website, in particular, the ’64 and ’67 catalogs, I see the Super Classic offered. The only difference is mine has a muffler and the catalog snares do not show any or mention anything about an optional muffler. Is my snare a Super Classic or something else? Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Yes, it does look familiar. I actually mentioned this in my initial post that my snare is the exact same except for mine includes a muffler. I didn't know if this would still make it a Super Classic or some sort of school model, etc. Thanks for the reply.
