Is this a ludwig throne? Last viewed: 9 minutes ago

Hello boys and girls,

I picked up this old throne the other day from a gent who said it came with his early 60's Downbeats. There are no marks on it that I can find. I've seen the porto-seats before but not one that looks like this. Is it Ludwig? Something else?

The bottom clamp, except for the wing nut, looks like the clamps on my herclues stands !!

you might wanna go to ebay and search for ludwig throne. there are a couple versions of the red top models on there right now with some pretty good pics for comparison.

Ok thanks guys,

I've seen a couple similar thrones on Ebay etc. I'm just confused as all of these thrones are also not labeled. The isn't a lot of information out there on the webs either, nor are they pictured in any of the contemporary catalogs that I've seen. I guess I was just looking for someone to take a look at my pics and say "Yup thats a Ludwig throne,"
