If you're talkin' about that sparkle brite stuff, it will leave all the sparkles and adhesive stuck the original wrap when you try to remove it. The stuff sticks pretty good. When I removed it from some shells once, I found out leaving the shells in my warm garage (during the summer) helped a little with peeling it off, but it still left a lot of sparkles stuck to original wrap. So I ended up just removing all the wrap. I have used it on DIY electronic drum shells.

You would need some kind of adhesive removal to get it off. I hate sparkle brite. But if that is the route you are goin', you can get it from dick blick art supplies. I think it might be a little cheaper than the guy on ebay.

If you're looking for a cheap rewrap solution, you might consider satin flame. Canal Plastics sells it by the roll for something like $15/yard. You could do a whole kit for about $50, and it would be higher quality than SparkleBrite. (I've never ordered from Canal, so I can't vouch for the quality, but they did offer to send me samples. It's worth checking out.)

Kits:
1950s Gretsch Name Band in Midnight Blue Pearl (13/16/22/14sn)
1965/66 Ludwig Club Dates rewrapped in Black Diamond Pearl (12/15/20)

Plus another thing about the EZ wrap, outside on a warm day or traveling and have the drums in a hot trailer, the sparkle brite will start to bubble.

This happened to me when I put my drums in the back of my Tahoe for a 20 minute drive. When I got to my friends house, I noticed the wrap was bubbling in places.

So keep that in mind. The Satin Flame would be the better cheaper option. It's thin enough to where the thin double sided tape works perfect for installing.
