Today I set up a litlle bigger kit then I have been playing on!! That is not really the important part but I hung my 16 floor tom off of a stand instead of putting it on the three legs!! Thet effect that I got as I played was amazing!! I know it should not matter how a floor is set up but Wow was it fun and glad that I did it!

Funny, I'm going the other way! I 'usually' play a 1-up, 2-down set-up. For the last couple of months I stripped down to a 1-up, 1-down set-up and I'm loving it. I'm just having more fun with less, which is the opposite of what you're going through. Some of us are coming, some of us are going, but we can wave as we pass each other on the road.

Have fun with your new set-up! Guitar Dude Man

How about a photo of the kit?

BTW, if you're hanging your floor tom... make sure the L-arm is pointing -down- (as opposed to facing up) into the tom mount. It'll increase the resonance of the drum dramatically for you.

I did not know that about the L arm pointing down!! I will have to try that, since the summer I have been playing One up two down and thought to clean the room a little. When I am done setting the rest of my hardware I wil post, the family is home now and they just interfer with my construction time
