Hey guys, first of all I am not a drummer so don't hate on me too bad:)

I buy and sell vintage furniture and went to a tag sale sale last week no furniture but scored a nice gretsch round badge kit in MBP from my research seems to be mid 60's.

Its the one on eBay now.

I did get an interesting question tonight that made me post this.

Look at the kit and look where the rail mount is. This guy said that's a 50's placement and thought it was a ate 50's bass but all of the drums have tags.

No tags in 50's from what I read. Then said this seems to be a rare set. You guys opinion would be greatly appreciated.

It's a nice set, but not rare. The snare looks like a 5X14. How many lugs does it have ? Have you inspected the shell to see if it is a 6 ply or 3 ply ?

8 lugs, 6ply the 6.5 was top rim to rim bottom rim.

I didn't think that rare either, but when started looking at that mount compared to others looked different, like I said, that's why I'm here.
