Identifying ludwig snare

Loading...

Hi.

This is a friend's snare not mine. It's gold finish and I think the year that is stamped inside is 1969, but I'm not sure. It was hard to read it.

Does any one knows which model is it and how much do they worth?

Thanks!

Hi there!IMO this is a Ludwig Pioneer 1966.Regards

Agreed Also in a very rare color I have only seen two other Pioneers, and one 8x12: tom in this color other than my entire wfl clubdate kit that has a jazzfestival snare drum and a 16x16" floor tom on it

I believe that this finish is actually the same as the gold in a gold / green duco.

Very rare as a single color. Love it!

if im not mistaking its a crest-lite lacquer product i have a color chart with the color.....nice

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

I've never seen that colour without it being part of a duco finish, I like it

Thanks very much. I'll let my friend know what he have.

I didn't hear the snare yet because it doesn't have wires but it's going to stay with me for a while and I'll put some wires and new heads.

Will let you know how it sounds.
