Identify vintage slingerlands

Loading...

Hello, im trying to identify a set of slingerland drums im thinking of buying. Owner says 1979-1981 fusion or spirit set. But ive been looking at those and neither seem to have 18" bass drum as an option. Also the tom holder looks a bit different and can be found in some models around 69-80. Serial 170 929. All i have is these two pictures and price is around 800euros. Please let me know if you have any info.

I'd think with those serial numbers that the date would be 1973-1974 ish

I agree with Bernese. I have solid white wrap version of these drums. Mid 1970s. Excellent sound and value. 18" bass? Get em!

Steve nailed the time frame, if you can confirm the tom sizes we can no doubt nail down the model too.

Cheers

Hard to tell for sure but looks like a 20"-13"-14" with a 14" 10 lug Sound King snare. Bass, tom and floor look to have 8 lugs per side. Maybe it had a 12" with it at some point in it's life? Looks like a nice kit.

Glenn.

Not a guru just havin fun with some old dusty drums.

I know that they would be rare in Europe... But I think 500euro may be closer to the mark...

Nice kit for Jazz... or smaller gigs..

Cheers
