Is the Dyna a seamless shell?

Looking at the inside I see no seam.

I have Puresound Blasters on my DynaSonic that's missing the frame mechanism. It sounds great, but I had to do a lot of trial and error experiments. It seems that the kinds of snares that have the angled end plates ("pitched") work best with the shallow, almost nonexistent snare beds on the Dyna. Good luck and keep us posted.

Just ordered Fat Cat snares that are pitched for snares with little or no beds.

We'll see how it works.

Sent an email to Steve Maxwell drums about new frame and he says sold out till September, but for $75 bucks it's worth a shot.

Seems like a nice guy,he even included his cell number in the email.

pgm554, how are those snares working out on your Dynasonic?

First YT is with Puresound snares.

They are decent with a little after rattle.

I just got the Fatcats yesterday and will see if they are much different.

Since the DS has no snare beds ,I'm using a Remo zero collar snare side like the drum corps snares as they have no snare bed to speak of either.

Part 2

The Remo M5 head seems to have done the trick.

No muffling what so ever.
