I need some help from the Rogers guys!

Loading...

I apologize but I’m a Ludwig man and I know next to nothing with Rogers (but I think that’s gonna change). A seller has this Rogers snare for sale locally and it includes a DW 7300 snare stand, and Humes & Berg hard-shell case. He’s asking $400 for the package deal.

The research I’ve done tells me it’s a Dynasonic mid-70s 5x14. If I’m wrong please let me know. Is the $400 a fair price for the package deal? Pictures of the snare are attached, sorry if they are poor quality but they are all I have available.

Big question…what would be the shell material? Brass? Steel? Could be either?

Thanks for the help!

Hey there Super,

Overpriced for a big R Dyna. In this market $325 is the price to pay. With the extras a good deal for sure!

Backbeatkeeper has a very nice Dynasonic on sale here (search his thread) for $305. Probably better to deal with him and you'll get a better example of this fine COB snare.

I have the same snare for sale at $330 myself if you're interested?

Oops! Just checked Backbeatkeeper's thread and the sale is pending.

So this snare would be brass? I like brass shell snares!

Yes, all Dynasonics were brass.

With the inclusion of the quality stand, and an Enduro hard case, for a pristine example of a Big R Dynasonic, 4 bills is not a bad deal. Not a screaming deal, but definitely a worthy price. If this drum has condition issues, its not a good price.

And if you look at the serial information in the signature link below, you can aproximate a year.
