If you go the ebay route, just set a reserve price that you are comfortable with letting it go at. Good luck in your health concerns, and with the sale of your drum.

thanks :) i appreciate the advice and i guess that's what i'll do as soon as i can get together how i will ship it. i never used ebay until recently...i've been testing the waters with little things that aren't too important...and by the way in case anyone is curious, my condition is ok. i've finished all my treatments and so far everything looks great. i'm just faced with the aftermath of bills and missing so much work...so, it's time to lighten the load a little, ya know?

Welcome!

Shipping should not be that big of an issue, about 20-25 bucks, use a box that is 2" oversized all the way around and don't be skimpy on the packing material. Use something other than peanuts if you can. Just my opinion, not that they don't work, but they tend to allow the drums to shift around in the box, for heavier drums, I have noticed. Now the cheaper MIJ stuff that I love so much...not so much, but I have had a few heavier drums shipped that have shifted a bit. There is a lot of good packing material out there these days.

Nice snare, I love those rock/concert snares. Tough looking and sound off the hook.

I too have been faced with health issiues this year and one of the best therapies over the past year has been this forum. Of course, I am not the best Ludwig historian, but as far a restoration tech goes, I do some of the best work out there that no one knows about...

Looking at this guy, you have managed to keep it well, a good steward you have been.
