I have a picture of my dad playing in a band back in 1963. The parking lot in the photo is filled with vintage cars, people, places and things. All the instruments were incredible including the brand new looking (well it was) Slingerland his drummer was playing. Such a cool picture. Anyhow, this photo was taken of me Friday night at our album release party at the Lawrence Art Center. I hope my kids keep this photo of me forever.

+1 on that, I have pics of my dad and his friend working on their Chevy II quarter mile car in the early 70's.

even the grocery go getter wagon in the background is rare by today's standards.

I worked with a young lady whose husband was killed in the line of duty in a very heavily media covered shoot out. I went to his service and had never been to a LEO service killed in the line of duty. It was something I'll never forget. Later that day I told a friend of mine that we should strive to be the kind of person that my co-workers husband was in life and how well liked he was by his fellow officers and friends. Truly a great man as was all who hold a special piece of our hearts.

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....
