I Have A Problem Last viewed: 1 day ago

Shame indeed. Whatever the latest drama is about hope it all gets sorted soon. Sadly posts of this nature get more reads/replys than folks happy to get a vintage kit and just need a bit of help.

We are here for a common interest...

Vintage drums and the playing of them.........

Except that we happen to do business with each other from time to time. And we ARE, indeed, human. So, not everyone shares the same level of integrity, honesty, generosity, dedication to disclosure, or anything else for that matter. To pretend a deal gone bad is no ones fault as the routine go-to attitude to be held by everyone is kind of naïve (at best). it depends on ignoring the factual details of a deal. To simply refer to it as "drama" and move on is to live ones life in pretense that all is well all the time, and if I close my eyes, nothing bad can happen. To even propose nothing should ever be said about anything like that because it might cause bad feelings..... is ... oh dear God, you need a trophy for breathing.

That up there......... is the description of an idiot.

I thought it relevant to remind everyone ...... We also do business here. And where business is involved, problems arise from time to time. And WE ought to deal with it when that happens, not stand around the campfire and sing

Kumbaya.... and pretend all is good, and well, and perfect, and ... nothing really bad ever can happen here.

Anyway.. back to the thread. I am sure none of that applies here.

1. Anything I have ever had to say to you, I have said to your face - and you know it.

2. Anybody who would tell you they are receiving emails from people bad mouthing you and won't tell you who those people are... is no "friend."

3. Asking in a public drum forum who has a problem with you is off-topic, an exercise in futility and childish. 'Mommy, Johnny doesn't like me!'

What did you expect to come of a thread like this? If people are actually talking behind your back, it shouldn't bother you unless what they are saying is true. Catch 22, you can't win with this approach. It makes you look like a -needy- crybaby.

So what, people are saying bad things, move on already and let the gossips do what they do. When I have something to say, I not only say it to your face, I use language even you can understand. :D

Point 1 yes

point 2 yes

Point 3, erm whilst I understand your perspective, and you are kind of right, I think you were being a little unfair. I didn't read that in his post. His prose wasn't that of a needy cry baby. I feel he has a valid point here. Its never nice to be spoken of negatively behind your back so to speak. And the online forum/chat room world is swiftly becoming covered by law as we speak. You spell out racial, sexist or hateful language to or about someone online you can go down.

I'm getting the feeling that this so called friend of mine was just flat out making it all up. I know I had an issue with one fellow over a blue oyster club date tom and kick, but I don't think he would sink to a leval of gossiping. I guess it makes no difference, nice post Ploughman.

Let's be clear John, you've never told me anything to my face, only pm's. I doubt you would actually talk that way to anyone in person, at least I hope not. It's all good, we all love our vintage drums.Keep on Pl

Mark has been doing exactly that to me for years now. His behavior is catching up with him, the nastiness, the bad drum deals (Gary!) and just his attitude in general. If people are saying negative things about him, it's nothing more than he's earned by his own actions and dealings with people here and I'm certain elsewhere as well.

Mark - You don't know me (at all.) You have no idea how very badly I'd like to meet you in-person. I've always been used to settling my business face to face, not by attacking people from the safety of a remote computer. I'm the one that seriously doubts you'd have the nerve to say to my face some of the awful things you've said to me and about me hiding behind your keyboard. It is why I have referred to you as a coward in the past.

Don't let that mouth of yours write checks that the rest of you can't cash. Leave me alone and I won't bother with you either. Simple solution. Keep screwing with me and this dance can go on until I finally get to meet you face to face. I will not -ever- take any crap from someone like you. Get that in your head.

Your crime partner has wised up and he's been behaving himself, (came real close to getting himself booted out of here,) why don't you wise up and follow suit. This is a great forum, join us.

And now... this threads course has run. Many had a say or voiced an opinion, which is fine!... but we certainly DO want to let this gently depressurize. So... I will LOCK 'er down!
