I found a Gretsch Gladstone snare w some issues. Last viewed: 1 minute ago

I found this while out of town but didn't buy it yet. I am heading back to the same area next week and could use some advice before making an offer. The strainer is obviously wrong and there are some extra holes. The seller does not have the 3 way key. Asking price is $350. I don't know what these tension rods are called, but the 3 way key can be used from the top of the drum to tighten either the top head or the bottom head or both at the same time. I've never seen one and guess it is rather rare. Would appreciate any thoughts on this drum, ability to find an original strainer and the asking price as is.

Thanks. Jim

I realized looking at my other posts that the pictures are small and dont show the tension rod details. Another picture now attached.

Cool drum. You sure it's a 3-way tension? I'd love to see more (better reso) pics after you buy it.

Maybe Chet or KCDD will help with scrutiny and valuation.

Wow...they took out about all the value by removing the original strainer..Hurting

BUT..won't Arnie Lang sell you one..if you can prove you have the drum it needs to go on?

I would be into the Prem strainer that is on there now...!

$350...you better grab!

Better photo. Thanks for the comments so far. Would it be possible to get a 3 way key?
