I believe that lonecomic does not read any of the bodies of the threads he responds to... just reads the opening post and posts from there... don't know why. I read this thread while it was in progress in August, and I will probably be trying your technique on a repair that I botched back in March.Same scenario regarding the wrap shrinking on me during repair.Thanks

Remove the hardware around the wrinkle use a hairdryer to gently.. repeat gently WARM up the area get a hypodermic needle big enuff to pass epoxy glue through and make ONE hole in the middle of each wrinkle and inject just like 1/4to 1/8th teaspoon of epoxy in there then rewarm the area and uses a tile hard rubber roller and start rollining gently towards the hole you made excess will come out the hole keeprolling till the glue sets and area is smooth again...

I normally wouldn't reply to zombie posts, but just to clarify that the restoration is still going strong after some 12 years! I just played those drums a couple of weeks ago and the wrap is in the same state!
Of course I have a soft case and store those drums in a good dry place. I guess I won't be restoring them again for a long time yet!
