Can one of you gurus tell me what the holepattern looks like for the Micro and for the Lightning throw-offs? The drum I just got has on one side one center hole with a smaller hole on either side of it and on the other side it has four holes in a square pattern. Is this a Micro pattern or a Lightning? Thanks for any help you can give me. Also, does anyone know whwere I may be able to score 16 snare drum tension rods for my snare? I would like to use Gretsch tension rods. My drum shell is in really good shape. It just does not have any hardware included. The drum key holder left a large unsightly hole but I don't care as this drum will be for gigging when it's finished. I tried to contact the guy at Trick to see if their 007 throw off is compatible with the Micro/Lightning. I have never seen one so I don't know.

I am getting ready to go see Jeff Beck in concert. I will look tomorrow and get back to you. Thanks. I think it's a Micro though. I have an old wood snare that had a Micro and I will check the holes later.

The three holes are for the micro, the four holes are for the 4 pt butt used on the later 60's drums.

Saw some recently (maybe still alive) listed on ebay. Same seller with two lots.

Thanks guys. I thought it looked familiar. I haven't seen my Micro since 1984 when I put the bottom rims and heads back on put a p-85 on my snare. The guy I bought my kit from had drilled a hole in the middle of the kick so I just mounted an old Ludwig diamond tom holder with the L rod. I don't remember much but I know I have all the original parts including mufflers for the kick and toms in an ammo can somewhere. It had one of those weird bass drum mufflers with the felt strip mechanism. I was told it was a 59 kit when we bought them but I could never confirm it.
