Hinger Touchtone snare Last viewed: 1 day ago

Hey there,

New to the Forum! I have a walnut 6 1/2" Hinger Touchtone snare drum in amazing condition from the early 1980's. I was really only played for about 3-4 years, and has been sitting perfectly preserved in my folk's basement ever since. The bottom head has a tiny hole, but other than that, is in great shape.

I'm probably going to hang onto it for sentimental reasons, but in case I decide to sell it, anybody know approximately how much it's worth? And if I decide to sell, the best place to do so?

Thanks a lot!

Ive had the pleasure of playing a hinger touch tone snare about 15 years ago while studying with my drum teacher.. The drum had the original cable snares on it still, was very LOUD , and the craftmanship was beyond excellent. He purchased the drum off ebay and from what i remember he spent a really really long time looking for the drum.. He apparently played one in high school in the 80s and wanted to purchase this drum for the use of orchestra work. I have only seen 2 hingers on ebay (not that i search regularly ) but they certainly are rare. Im sure other members will chime in but you should upload some pictures. Does the drum have the original cable snares?
