Hi All,

I just joined a few days ago. Like others I stumbled on this site looking for a drum part. I'm located just outside Philadelphia, PA and I'm thrilled with this site and still learning my way around.

I've owned my Blue Swirl (Don't know the official color name yet) Rogers R-360's since about 1970. They were purchased used and I think they were manufacturered in 1968. I played through high school and college and then only sporadically after that for a few years. After that I didn't play at all for many years but I must have known I would play again because I kept the set. I just recently dug them out, dusted them off, cleaned them up and I'm playing them again - Jazz regularly and some Rock & Roll. I'll post some photos of the drums in the days ahead. I'm impressed by the wealth of information and resources among this group and congratulate the originator(s), webmaster and forum leaders for such a great Forum. Thank you all for the time you contribute.

I'll see you in cyberspace,

That color might be what was called Blue Ripple.

Thanks. I just saw a photo that's apparently from a Rogers catalog

(1980ish) that references the color as "Blue Oyster Pearl". That looks exactly like my drums but I'm guessing the color was not new that year so maybe they changed the name of the color? Of course there is no copyright on the catalog page photo so I can't verify that it is a 1980 catalog either.

OK, Here's what a newbie I am...I didn't realize this wasn't the main site!! Now that I've reviewed the catalog link I see that the color is: Blue Strata Pearl. Thanks again! I continue to be impressed and Of course, I'll be visiting the main site shortly.
