Anyone ever seen this before? Is this a rare bird?
Here's one I've never seen before.....
Evidently Broman was a marketing company, who subcontracted builders to make their instruments c.1930's.

Bro Man..aka Brother Man drums..
Famous for a short stint in the 1970's...
Reported to be used on Superfly and Shaft records...

Rims on this drum (tacked bottom head) are cold rolled steel chrome plated with clips, here's a dead giveaway, it's a five lug tom.....date on this reads what looks like 1951. I also have a snare and bass drum. Lugs are tube style. I'm piecing it out, don't have time for any more projects.
I have a 13 inch Slingerland calf head and an unknown 24 inch calf bass drum head for sale from this kit as well as the Tom and bass drum that I will post pictures of later.
This drum reminds me of the tube lug snares that show up from the 50's labeled "Sherwood", by Leedy/Ludwig. (Strange birds w/ anachronistic hardware & construction). Your "Broman" is a unique mystery.
