Help with new Ludwig Bass Drum Last viewed: 54 minutes ago

The extra holes were made by a rogers swivo mount...

I was going to say they certainly were not for a Pearl type mount I am familiar with. I think we may jump to conclusions and blame people switching to Pearl mounts as some kind of stereotype. A swivo is quite possible, as some drummers preferred them to the Ludwig mounts of the day. That might have been the original mount.

Wow, thanks for your expert help!

I just measured my 1967 Hollywood bass drum and it's actually 22 inches. I thought it was 20" for some reason. Oh well, now I have a 22" and a 20". I thought I found myself a good backup, but they're different beasts all together! That case I picked up with the 20" does not fit the 22" drum. Well, now I'm searching for some drum legs, a tension screw, and a claw.

Hey, the lady I purchased this from was also selling a Rogers Tom. I think I'll give her a call to see if she still has that Rogers Mount. Maybe I could remount it and use it for something? Clapping Happy2

Here is the Rogers Drum she sold.
