My long deceased father played on these drums probably in the 1920's early 30's, and I just took them out of consignment at a Museum where we stored them for 30+ years.
I know the snare says Ludwig and Ludwig is a 4'x15" mahogany with re-rings, and is even burned into the wood on the inside of the shell.
The bass drum tag inside says Mfg'd for J. W. Jenkins and Son by Great Musical Instruments in Kansas City, MO.
Anyone have any idea of the probable dates of these items and is there any value? Also, what can anyone tell me about the bass drum. It is 26" dia. and 12" deep but light as a feather and has re-rings and a mahogany shell also.
He played these in a family band back then and I ended up with them in the estate years ago, and as I am not getting any younger decided to get them back into my possession to pass them on to my daughter and grand daughter.
Any insight or details on these would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
There is also some old bass drum pedal with it but I am at the maximum picture limit here so I added the photos later in this post.
