Yep... those are six ply shells. It was a little tough to see the last tow outer plies very clearly, but I took a crack at numbering them for your reference.

This kit is actually most likely from 1981-1983. Ludwig came out with modular hardware around 1980-81 and in order to use that large triangular mount that was the bass of the modular tom holder they had to put the thing at the front of the bass drum. This caused Ludwig to have to move the badge to the player side of the drum where your badge is. It's always bugged me to see the Ludwig badge at the back like that and to this day Ludwig STILL puts the badge there even though modular hardware is rarely used these days. In fact I'm not sure Ludwig even uses the modular hardware anymore. I thought it was an option though....
