I need help figuring out if this is a good set and what it is worth. based on the serial number i think it was made in 76. This is a Ludwig set 9x13 16x16 and 15x22 set. Serial number 1013088.
Help please! Trying to figure out what I have! Last viewed: 1 hour ago
The finish looks like Walnut Cortex. Need to see the rest of the kit to asses proper value.
Just wondering if it is a set that is worth keeping... If not what could I sell it for. Thanks for the help!
Can we see the top of the bass drum and maybe the inside of the drums?
Is the bass drum 22?
If you decide to sell it, I know of someone looking for that exact set. It's not me.
Pat this is a pro Ludwig USA kit, the bass drum is a 14x22" not a 15x22" the bass drum rim claws have been replaced with cheap china made ones not a big deal but to us collector players that are aware it matters. if your going to use/play them you could not do much better. can you post some pictures of the shell interiors? if this is the 3 ply with re rings clear interior shell they are Ludwigs very best sounding shells.
Thank thanks for the help. I think I might still have the original rim claws but they are very corroded. Here is a picture of the inside. I also have a 60's Gretch rock set so I have to decide what to keep. Here is a picture of the inside base drum.
Any idea of the value? There is some corrosion on the motel parts but the shells are in pretty good condition. No dents or cracks or anything
pat, it is just the three drum? if so probably in the $350.00-$500.00 range!
