Ok, I'd like to start off apologizing to everybody for throwing up that post so fast then running off to buy the kit. I knew it was a good deal and I guess I thought it was to good to be true and needed someone to e-slap some sense into me.
Now after that, may I present to you what I believe to be a 1965 all original Trixon Luxus 13, 16, 14, 20 drum kit in red sparkle (glass glitter?) The story go's, the original owner Tom ;) sold the set to his church pastor for their church band. The pastor thought that they were some type of Gretsch kit and when he found out they weren't, he sold them. And he was let go this week so everybody put out some good new job vibes for this guy!
Anyhow, they have the original heads on them! Tom never wanted to change them because he loved the way they sounded. these drums are all original and have no modifications that I can see, save for a piece of wood that he stuck in the snare wires to keep them tighter. The wrap on all 4 drums is great. Tight seams, save for the kick that has a small bubble and 2 cracks. It also had two t-rods that the lug thread had broken and just spins inside the lug. One is also slightly bent. The rack is in great shape. Floor is in great shape, save for one of the leg brackets has a broken tension screw and a small seam bubble. And the snare is in great shape, save for a bent tension rod and the bottom head/wires are not in the best shape. It came with 60's Zildjians 14hh - 20ride, Trixon kick pedal, Rogers Hi-Hat stand, Ludwig throne, Trixon drum key, and Trixon snare stand.
I tried to picture every little thing I could think of to give the best overall condition of the kit. I am going to be selling it with the 4 drums, fibre cases, snare stand, hi-hat stand, and kick pedal. I'm keeping the cymbals and luddy throne :D ANYBODY that could help me with pricing that would be amazing. Not to hip on Trixons, just what I've read. I'm not going to be cleaning them up because I fee that their new owner would have a blast doing that ;) The chrome is great already. been stored in the cases inside. I'd really like to sell them to someone on here to avoid feebay and see it when it's all done. WHEN PRICING: I'm totally down to give forum members a smokin deal, I just want to essentially rescue the kit and get some free cymbals ASK ANY AND ALL QUESTIONS I have no problems taking more pics!
