Help me sell my Camco set Last viewed: 22 hours ago

Hi VDF!

BLUF: I'm in the military and packing, moving, and storing my beloved walnut LA Camco set all the time has become more trouble than it's worth. I don't have the time or space to play anymore and I'd like it to go to someone who'll get some use of it. What's the best way to go about selling vintage drums for someone under time constraints?

The set is in Omaha, NE but I don't really have a ton of time to package/ship so I'm not sure eBay or even VDF seller's forum is a good idea for me. But maybe Craiglist is too local for a set with a rare name like Camco. Doubt it would sell.

It's an LA badge with all original hardware as far as I know. All three toms have small mounting holes or something drilled in them (I didn't do it, swear!). Very nice condition for its age but it's a player's set for sure. I gigged with it for years so everything but the floor tom is in soft carrying cases.

I don't even know how much to ask for it.

Also have a Craviotto DW solid maple 6.5"x14" in black stain that really goes well this the set. Again, no clue how much to ask for something like this.

Figured you guys would be the best to give me some honest advice.

Thanks in advance,

-Doug

Thank you! I'll definitely do that. Selling my first "true love" of a set has got me all anxious so I'm glad I found a good community here who knows the feeling :)

Doug, again, thank you for your service. Once you get a price I would like to have a stab at them. I have been looking for a Camco kit for a long time. Yours are really nice. I can drive to Omaha to get them depending on how soon you need them to move out. You can send a private message by clicking on my user name.

Thanks and have a great Thanksgiving!

I also want to thank you for your service. I'm also interested in your kit so if Jeff decides to pass on it I'd appreciate a chance. I can also drive to Omaha.

Contact Steve Maxwell, he has a shop in Chicago and will give you a free and fair estimate of it's value in today's market. He might also be willing to buy it!
