Help Me Identify Correct Ludwig Lugs

Loading...

Need help identifying the correct lugs for this 13" tom...I picked it up with a 20" Bass drum a few weeks back. I previously posted some pics of them here when I got them. Seems the Classic Mini and Large will not fit. Thanks! Help2

I've also cross posted this in the "Want To Buy Forum"

This was not taken by me but this size matches what I have and they fit the Bass drum, the Bass badge puts it at 1966 but the shells have been re wrapped so I can't be 100% positive it is a 66, both the tom and bass interiors are white and appear similar.

This is the lug that fits the bass, I did take this one, my previous attempt failed.

Odd Ball, I just realized what you meant...no, the lugs for the bass do not fit the tom.

Can you show the whole drum shell ? That way we can use the mount, muffler location, badge, to see what you have. Does the edges show a scarf joint with wrap going into it ? You can`t hide that with a rewrap.

A 13" tom from the 60's 70's 80's should have the same lug as a bass drum of similar vintage. 12" and smaller toms, concert toms, and marching drums all used the smaller design (what they call the mini and put on everything now unless you order the larger ones) but toms 13" and above, floor toms, and bass drums all used the same larger size.

At the time they only made two sizes of classic lug so it SHOULD be one or the other if that is a Ludwig tom.
