Hello,
I picked up what I believe is an early 16"x16" Ludwig floor tom. I have never seen reinforced ring like these on any Ludwig drums I own. All of the hardware is nickel Ludwig. Any ideas?

The interior veneer looks to have been put on after the re-rings and crappy at that !!

Yes, but if you look at the reinforced rings they look different. They have a strange notch/line that runs around the center of the rings.
