That had me thinking too. I went and took a close look and the "gold" sparkle is composed of small hex shaped silver glitter covered with an amber translucent film. If you run a finger over the silver part you can feel the texture of the sparkles but it's smooth and gold when the outer layer is applied. Depending how bad the wrap is (looks like it needs re-done) I'll try to separate a portion of the amber and silver and get a photo.

No work today and I'm itching to pull the hardware off the bass drum and see what's under the white plastic wrap. I'll do some more pics and hope it doesn't take as long to get 'em posted this time.

I'll show you the rack tom first. The entire wrap looks like this! The sun shined on this dogs butt this time.

If you look close slightly off center a dark circle about the size of a round badge is there. No grommet hole but there is a small hole about the size of a tack but doesn't go thru to the inside. Any thoughts?

And the worst! Not good but I still feel that warm sun!:>) My thoughts now that I see what is here are to clean and polish everything, install new heads and play them with the round badge snare I found a few months ago.

Any advice or opinions will be appreciated, especially type of heads.

Went to the Apollo, shoulda' seen 'em go go go..... Couldn't help it, that song is still in my head! More ugly, differen't angle.

Here're 2 unused holes in front of that mount(that i'm not sure what it is). The larger hole has a dark/un-faded spot the size of a round badge/hole is grommet size. Smaller hole behind it. I have no clue about these.

Two more holes that look like a consolette mount was there.
