Help Dating Slingerland Drum Set Last viewed: 5 hours ago

Hi, I have spent some time looking through this site and some of its great resources. Wish I would have found this site a long time ago! I will post pictures very soon, but the serial number tag on these Slingerland Drums is the oval black and Sliver Niles, IL badge. My serial number is 22008 on the floor tom and all the other ones are around that same 20k number. Everything I have seen on here so far starts at 100k. I know these things are hard to go off just a serial number, but what year does this sound like? Thank you in advance

Sounds like 1970 or sometime into 1971 to me.

Try to post a picture of the badge when you can.... I think Kevin may have hit the nail on the head though with the 1970 call. Sounds like it may have the silver and black transition badge. Have you looked inside the shells for a date stamp?
