This looks like an artist model? Any idea if this drum had a wrap on it? Could be a good candidate for a rewrap. Is the hardware correct? Seller said the drum is either 6.5 or 7. I'll know for sure tomorrow. Thanks in advance!
Help Dating a Radio King snare Last viewed: 1 hour ago
Badge looks 1946-48. How many lugs? That will help. My guess is that is a Professional model that has been refinished. Doubt it was wrapped Maple exterior so original natural finish or duco. Hardware is correct and good chance it is solid shell maple. Will be issues if you want to wrap that shell.
Great snares!! Don't get the love they should. Seem to top out at $275.
Hope of some help.
Forgot the standard response: Flowers/diner/chocolate :-)

Thanks for the help. Ill try and get more information tomorrow.
It is a professional model, It would be a 6 1/2x14" it wasn't wrapped, you will not want to wrap it, the shells are over sized. it is a 30's model
Is $450 a fair price for this model? This is a solid ply of maple correct?
Solid maple yes. $450 is steep going on the provided pics. Hard to tell which badge this has. Makes all the difference.

Badge looks like the 2nd cloud badge 37-43. Very faint type depression. My bass has the same badge. Tan enamel background long gone.
Not a guru just havin fun with some old dusty drums.

The price is a little high try $350.00. The finish could be original? This is a solid shell old growth wood, it will sound outstanding.
More information about the drum....
8 lugs
14x7
Here is the guide to Slingerland badges. Think Glenn is right. As posted on DFO there should be some cracking/glazing of the original nitrous laquer top coat.
