I could mistaken, but your kit is from between 1979- and possibly 81-82..The rounded badge, as indicated on vintagedrumguide.com, says that your drums badges began being used in '79. The interior Ludcoat speckled interior began being used a few years earlier, possibly around '76, but i could be wrong and it is only speculation..The grey painted interior in your drums doesn't look like "Ludcoat", and it looks like it may have been painted at some point after it left the factory ? It looks like the grey interiors that Gretsch painted in the their shells..

Judging by the sizes, your kit is possibly the "Probeat" outfit, as those usually began with a `13" rack tom..

This is also shown on the vintagedrumguide.com.. Here are a couple of links..I had a bowling ball black oyster that i had sold a while back (like the monumental imbecile that i am !), and mine had rounded badges and Ludcoat.. Serial number if i remember correctly, says they were from around '76-'77.. Hope this helps..

The interior paint is not lud kote paint. the paint is the silver paint close to what gretsch used.

Your drummers not much good is he!? What you need is someone that's as good as me. ! John Henry Bonham !!

I have seen a few other examples of Ludwig shells with what looked to be Silver/Gray Gretsch like int paint,as I remember the shells were all non re ring shells and it looked like the workmanship was very well done, good enough to be factory applied.

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
