i just sold my ss octaplus kit for $6,600.00 with cymbals and stands and a Colosseum snare i delivered it for that price it was a monster kit what a sound thunder kit, so they sound a lot different than fiberglass or wood this is one of the few drums that sound great with no bottom skin nice kit enjoy ...that kit is around 76 and later

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

One rare kit that appears to be in nice shape. May I just stress...Do Not Seperate the Components!

It may be tempting to sell one or two pieces when someone is willing to pay a good price for them, but when you find someone with the desire (and cash) for these monsters, that person will only pay top dollar for the full, original set.

Plus, personally, I always hate to see historically significant (read that 'vintage') drum sets split-up, never to be original again.

'Just my 2-cents.

Good luck with finding a new home for those babies.

By the way, I meant keep the shell pack together. Keep those intact. The cymbals look to be lower line Zildjian Amir (80's). Those can be sold off. The stands are a bonus with a vintage kit but can also be replaced. The original shell pack with near serial #'s is crucial to the value.

Thank you to everyone who responded to my original post.

Yes, the set is in very very good condition in my opinion. Not sure that counts for much since I'm not a plyer like most of you. There are a couple of rsut spots from sitting but they seem like minor touch-ups.

I'm trying to keep the set complete but I may need some of that floor space before I can find a buyer for the entire set. Will take your comments into account if I have to decide to separate them or not. Thanks.

I guess my next step will be advertising on Craigs list in the Seattle area. Will let you know if anything comes of that effort.

Thanks again.
