Hello to me

Loading...

Hi... sorry if this is the wrong thread, but I couldn't find the "Introduction" thread, and I would like to introduce myself to this forum.

Actually, I have been a fan of the vintage drum forum for a number of years and I just got around to joining. My name is Mike and I have been playing drums since 1977. My main kit is a '83 Tama Superstar that I have had since Christmas of 1983 and to which I have added a few drums here and there over the years. I am also in the process of rebuilding a white Rogers "Big R" kit that I have had for about a year now. I'm a huge vintage drum fan and especially like vintage Japanese kits.

Most memorable drumming related moment: Buddy Rich once told me, "Outta my way, kid." (I was standing in front of the stage exit). Yup. That's my drum-related highlight. Falling Do

Welcome to VDF!

Funny Buddy story! I guess you and "the musicians on Buddy's tour bus" have something in common! LOL

Post some shots of your drums when you get a chance.

John

Too many great drums to list here!

Nice to have you with us, Mike. When you learn how to post photos here, let's see the Rogers kit. And nice encounter with Buddy... that was probably the LEAST rude statement he made to anyone that day.
