Hello!

Im Andreas from Austria. I just got my hands on this Ludwig drumset. Now i want to know more about it, which time period, price,...

I was at two local drum shops. They told me that the badge with serial number and re inforcement rings in the drums are a good sign that it is something.. One of them thought its from the late 70's but he couldn't give me any more information.

That looks like a Ludwig Overdrive kit (virgin bass). I've never seen one with three-ply shells. Cool kit.

I'd agree. Overdrive outfit from the very tail end of the 3 ply era (1975-1977ish). White Cortex came out around 1975 3 ply shells were replaced by 6 ply models around 77-78.

Looks like they are in nice shape, Cortex finishes are pretty tough so they generally hold up well.

What are the dark circles under the badges?

These are stickers of the music store which sold the drumset, but it doesn't exist anymore
