This is my first post here and I just wanted to say hello. I'm Bob Cianci, drummer and guitarist, author of the book Great Rock Drummers Of The Sixties, and music journalist, with writing credits in Modern Drummer, Classic Drummer, Drumhead, and many others. I play DW drums professionally, but still own my original set of 65' Slingerlands and other vintage stuff. I just bought a 50's Radio King snare that's still on layaway until it's paid off.

I'll chime in when I think I have something to add to the conversation. I have spent a lot of time around around old drums and cymbals in the past, so I look forward to perhaps answering questions some of you might have.

Bob, good to see you over here with us on the VDF, and as you know I'm a DW guy also, glad to have another one, since there are many Dw haters here on this forum!!

Your drummers not much good is he!? What you need is someone that's as good as me. ! John Henry Bonham !!

Hey, Bob:

Good to see you here, and not on Fantasy Island if ya know what I mean.

Sorry, folks.....it's an inside joke that a few of us on this forum share. It's just not polite for us to talk badly about a place that doesn't want us there.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

Hey Howie...I admire your restraint. I'm more inclined to spill my guts about "that other place" we used to hang out. I may yet.

No, not related to BuilderBob. Excited

I know DanC is here too.
