Hayman 5-Piece Kit for Sale

Loading...

I have for sale a late 60's Hayman 12,13,16,22 & 5.5x14 snare. These drums were professionally rewrapped before I acquired them in the mid 90's. As you can see, the WMP has yellowed. The snare was rewrapped in chrome.

Typical light crazing of interior polyurethane coatings. All drum hardware is original.

Fibre cases for toms and BD and Humes & Berg padded snare bag are included with local pickup.

Otherwise, $800.00 plus shipping for drums only.

If I hadn't blown my wad on an antique snare recently, I'd be all over these!

The UK's answer to Camco. Great drums! The price is right. Buy, buy, buy!

Too many great drums to list here!

Can someone educate us on the quality of Hayman drums? I have no idea. What other brands are they comparible with? These look nice though.

There will be some experts that will chime in here eventually. As I understand it, Hayman manufactured high quality drums in England. While the round lug casing are indeed a nod to Camco, they were probably more accurately compared to Ludwig. They did paint their interior surfaces and the reason was to improve volume and projection to compete with the onslaught of Marshall, Hi-Watt and Sound City amps among others. The mounting hardware was often referred to as knuckle busters I believe due to the number of fittings and their locations. I believe Robert Henrit with Argent may have been an endorser.

I would like a set of those and the price is certainly right, but my vintage buying has been curtailed for the time being.

I heard that while Ansley was with Bowie...Bowie paid him $1,000 a week NOT to play for anyone else..which in todays money is what..$2,000-3,000 a week?

I heard Ansley just cruised around LA in his Vette then....must be nice...
