Hanging old tom

I have a 16" 60,s Yammie i.d like to try playing w/o the usual floor legs.For a drum this size would you use a basket or rims mount?

I would use the Pearl floor tom leg rubber thingys called Air Suspension Feet. Those honestly work. You don't have to hang it or Rims mount it. Believe me when I say these REALLY make a difference. You will only be out a few bucks to try 'em. And, oh what a believer it will make of you.

If you just want to get rid of the legs.......Rims or Optimount.
