I recently purchased a Pearl Competitor Series marching snare which I really like. I did however replace the gut snare wires with Puresounds. The only trouble was that any snare straps I utilized were just a bit too short to go up and around the rollers on the strainer. I visited a local fabric store today and bought about five feet of grosgrain ribbon for under five bucks! I cut it to the length I needed and so far, it seems great! Have any of you guys tried this? Thanks.
