Yes, I had all my cymbals on Grombals for a year now, and I LOVE this solution - I think the best there is. I tried all kinds of solutions that improve the old felt'n'nut. This is IT :) What I especially like about them:
1. The ease of cymbal set up and tear down.
2. The way the cymbal moves freely when struck lightly, but if you really bash it, the rubber grommet's resistance gradually increases and the movement is gradually stopped. I think it's actually very safe for cymbals, more so then felt. But I may be wrong. Time will show.
3. No more plastic sleeves (the little plastic tubes) on stand tops! The cymbals always rub through those and start touching bare metal, or the sleeve travels up or down the felt and again the cymbal touches metal... This problem is forever gone with Grombals.
The only negative thing I can say is that the bare tips of the cymbal stands sticking above the cymbal bells look a little weird at first. I guess we are just too used to seeing a wing nut there.
