Has this been looked at here? Maybe I missed the tread if it was already looked at. I posted the link in General Questions but no replys there.

Sorry for the double post but maybe I should have posted it here first.

Is it a Forum member selling it?

Looks good but it would be costly to buy the period correct parts....$300+ just for the T-rods claws, rack tom hoop and mute I think. So maybe it's not a screaming deal but it would be nice if someone had the ft and snare to go with it.

I don't think he's a forum member here. I've bought stuff from him in the past and been happy with his forthcomingness and ease of dealing with. Not a "craigslist creep" by any stretch.

...it seems like Portland's craigslist is a mecca for round badge drums that never get snagged. I hope I have more luck when I eventually go to sell MY kit...

I have a few holidays coming up in the first part of Sept I thought I'd go down to look at them. Can't get enought of the 50's 3ply it seems haha.

Thanks for the input.

My experience with the Rack - Kick kits is that unless you need it, leave it be. I mean if you can get it for free or next to nothin, go for it. But otherwise it can turn into a lengthy process that in the end, nets very little.

Good advice - thanks.

I just put together an orphan kit and it has cost me a lot so far. The shells are all 3ply 50's era. I have over $800 into the snare drum alone and by the time I'm finished I will have thousands into it - it's a 4pc. I don't expect to ever recover the money I put into it. The joy comes in playing the kit and having a dream come true.

As far as the WMP kit/rack I will take your good advice and leave them...even though they are 50's 3ply that are getting harder to find and will no doubt keep on going up in price.
