I must say, it puzzles me when people buy drums that they're never going to play. I have a bit of the collector bug in me, (20+ snares, 3 kits), but I make use of each and every drum I have, and intend on continuing in that manner. Otherwise - and this is just my opinion - it's no different than collecting figurines or teddy bears and never putting them on display. Maybe it's just that I don't understand THAT kind of collecting...

A box that will never be opened might as well be empty.
