So, I was just looking at snare drums on eBay, under the "vintage" section and this Gretsch snare drum caught my eye. It had just been listed, with BIN price of $37.99. I had to do a double-take, thinking maybe it was only for a specific part of the drum, or possibly something terribly wrong with it. I quickly looked at all the pictures and purchased the drum! Shipping was only $29.99.
I definitely don't need any more snare drums! In fact, I'm getting ready to sell many of those I never use. But, for a total of $67.98, I figured I had nothing to lose. I can't help but think that the seller accidentally listed the wrong price or just really didn't know what they had.
So, did I do good? About the only negatives I could spot were some non-original tension rods, missing drum key, typical pitting of the hoops and non-original wires. Oh, and the badge is definitely not centered between the lugs!
