Saw a nice Gretsch RB kit at the local Guitar Center in Orange CT. 20-16-13-12 with matching snare all in Gold Stain Flame. Very nice original looking kit. Couple small scuffs on the bass drum but very nice original wrap on all. No splits or extra holes that I saw. Hardware all there and die cast hoops. Would clean up nicely. No idea if this is a good or bad deal. Price is in the picture. Just thought it was worthy of a post. Tommy please delete if it's a no no. ;)

Very nice! I think maybe a little on the high side but then again its GC. Their vintage gear is all priced out in California and they can't come down on prices at all on that stuff.

Sonor SQ2 10 14 18 American Walnut
L.A. Camco 12 14 18 Moss Green
Gretsch Round Badge 12 14 18 w/snare Champagne
Gretsch Round Badge 12 14 20 w/snare Burgundy

Yes sadly they are tough on prices. Not much discount is given. The same store still has a 28-14-13 Radio King in WMP for $1299 that's been there well over a year. Toms have tacked bottom heads and aluminum badge bass. Just too much $$$. I didn't see these Gretsch's on the GC site. So thought I'd mention them. My son is looking for a bass amp so we were here and at Sam Ash. Neither store had much for bass amps and all the gear was used. Sam Ash in Hamden had a nice 70's blue vista 4pc 22-16-13-12 no snare for $999. Those were very nice no cracks or scratches.

I had a good senior moment looking at the E cymbals Zildjian has. They are a metal mesh type of cymbal. Very light and cool sounding as acoustic. Ride and crash have a sizzle sound. Hats a very light meshy chick. Thought they were cool and the young lady in percussion told me they were for elec kits. Ha I had no idea. She was very nice and knew her gear well.
