That would actually make a lot of sense since it looks like you could special order the painted drums according to one of the old Grestch catalogs.

Got the stoopid Evans sticker off and it was just covering up the remains of an older more troublesome sticker residue.Hmmmm Think I will probably keep her though..... she seems all original at this point and one of the cleanest vintage drums I have come across....minus aforementioned sticker of course.

Thanks Gary those helped out tremendously. The beds on yours look almost exactly like mine. Looks like the drum is all original.Cool Dude....and the mystery stamp remains exactly that. Looks like she'll stay with my ever growing number of six luggers. I do love the yellow.....in person. I'll post a fresh pic when I get the rest of the Evans sticker off and polish her up.
