Walnut stain Gretsch kit, late 70's (mixed badges)

9x13 (original Gretsch Giant tom mount)

10x14 (original Gretsch Giant tom mount)

16x18 (original Gretsch diamond floor tom brackets & legs)

14x24 (original Gretsch Giant tom post mount & spurs)

Overall good condition, with a few small nicks in the finish here & there. No extra holes anywhere, all factory Gretsch hardware. Includes double tom mount post & arms.

Looks more like a mahogany stain. Are they red (like they look in the photo) or brown like walnut would be?

I am not aware of a Gretsch stain/lacquer finish called red mahogony. They are what I believe Gretsch called Walnut (not dark walnut which is much more brownish) there is alot of red in the color, they are really quite beautiful. After making a closer inspection, I see they are probably 1981 as three of the drums have drop G badges. I have several "single" Gretsch drums from many different era's & I probably have 4 different shades of "walnut".
