I wonder if the bass drum bracket for the 4937 tom holder is interchangeable with the older 4936 equivalent. Would much appreciate an answer, thanks!

I believe the post for both the 36 and 37 is 1" in diameter and compatible with the standard Gretsch diamond bass drum mount. The top part of the 36 and 37 use different tom mounting systems. The 36 uses a hanging bracket system while the 37 uses an L arm system.
